Lindy Patterson
Lindy Patterson is a specialist in arbitration, adjudication, and commercial litigation in the construction and energy sectors. She regularly acts as arbitrator, adjudicator and dispute board chair. She leads a team of lawyers handling major project disputes both domestic and international. This covers oil & gas, renewable energy and construction projects.
Lindy is qualified in both English and Scottish law and as solicitor advocate was appointed Queen’s Counsel in August 2010. She was the first woman to be appointed to the International FIDIC President’s list in 2012. She is a regular speaker at major industry events and seminars.
Recent Experience
- Dispute adjudication board chair for a major infrastructure development in Albania.
- Dispute review board chair on a contract based on FIDIC for civils work in construction of a power plant in Scandinavia.
- Leading a team providing advice to a major energy company on two separate disputes in oil and gas contracts in Iraq.
- Acting as adjudicator and arbitrator in a number of extension of time and payment claims including issues of contract interpretation.
- Extensive advocacy for both contractors and employers in pursuing and defending major construction claims and arbitrations including several major roads arbitrations and wind farm arbitrations.
